The cross tabs of the polls taken on the GOP primary show a DISTINCT split between Trump & Desantis. Even moreso now women are choosing Trump overwhelmingly.

And the reason Desantis won't pull in those demographics (Along with white working class) at Trump levels is because Desantis will push traditional economic principles. That is where the GOP started losing the fight with the Democrats. Don't have to be communist but you can't be naive LIberatarian either.

And of course Desantis will continue American global wars. Very unpopular.

I don't think he is getting arrested anytime soon. But there are some serious additional indictments coming down. That will save the GOP's bacon.

This is true, but I would expect Trump knows if he loses the primary then he has no shot of winning the election. He could only tank the election for DeSantis. While I don't put it past Trump to be that petty, I don't think he would have any interest in failing that hard in the public eye.

Trumps never lost anything fair and square in his life according to him. He will spend the entire general election cycle claiming the primary was rigged against him which would be the most hilarious thing ever. I dont think theres a chance in hell he loses the primary though.

There has been primary polling IN FLORIDA that has Trump ahead. Not by a lot and with multiple candidates but I think its a pipe dream that once Deantis 'makes it official' (as if he hasn't already) that he will get a polling bump.

Like it or not the Republican party RESOUNDINGLY supports Trump. Its not 95% like it used to be of course but to pretend it will be anything less than 60-70% for the remainder of this primary is a certain pipe dream.

I'm still waiting to see all these polls (outside of Rove's polling agency) that actually show Desantis better nationally than Trump.
