Baldwin smoked a couple of ground balls when I saw him play against St. Paul last week. They were right at guys, so they were outs, but I was impressed with Baldwin's fundamentals. Teams don't draft for need, but I've always thought that the Braves view Baldwin as d'Arnaud's replacement after he departs after 2025.

Funny. I saw his 441 ft homerun and caught myself praying it went out. It cleared easily, but his swing on hr's aren't exaggerated swings...I never usually like squat catchers..he looks like his name should be Macho Libre or something. But he has come a long way behind the plate. He's at least interesting.

JR Ritchie back in action for Augusta tonight! 5 innings, 0 runs, 7 K’s, 0 hits, 1 walk… only 59 pitches! Great to see as a think he has the highest ceiling of the 3 HS arms in that draft

Man. Forgot about him. Hopefully he can pick up where he was pre injury and I can get excited about him again.

Don't get too attached. He probably has the best odds to be traded. Personally though I wouldn't trade him. We have to develop cheap young players to supplement the roster if we want to be contenders year in and year out. If we want to be a bad team real quick then trade our prospects for rentals and expensive players. Even with our payroll we can't burn money like the Phillies/Yankees/Dodgers/Mets.

I hope they use the same approach with Ritchie that they used with Schwellenbach. Keep him on a pitch count and don't push him up the system for the sake of pushing him up the system. Let him build back arm strength and control in the lower minors.

A dude just coming back from TJS in the low minors is not getting traded before building value back lol. I think Waldrep has much better odds of being traded.

Baldwin is killing it… hardest hit ball in the game. However he also had a 104.5 mph line out that almost got down for extra bases but worked as an RBI sac fly. He was the only player to have 2+ 100+ mph exit velocities. Buzz is that he will be the MVP. Dude is about to be a top 100 prospect.
