Yes it is. His bb numbers have been pretty abysmal though, so nothing will matter if he can't fix that

Ehhhh... he came in being a strong strike thrower with a reputation of good control. I think he's just been working on figuring out his secondary stuff.
 
Looks like Hackenberg did that against the AA Marlins which started 9 Zach Shorts tonight...only two guys in that lineup with an OPS above .700. But 16 K is extremely impressive nonetheless.

One of the AA Marlins pulled an Olson tonight in going 0-5 with 5 K
 
Francisco Vicioso is having another startling season.

2.2 IPP, 17 walks, 18 wild pitches.

I see they just released him on Wednesday. He had improved dramatically. His WHIP last season was 33.00 and his ERA was 351.00. This year, his WHIP was down to 7.13 and his ERA dropped to 23.63.
 
AJSS just can't keep the ball in the park. I'm losing confidence in him no matter what he's ranked

Supposedly he's working primarily on his secondary pitches. An article I read said he's actually throwing harder this year and getting more movement on his fastball and slidee
