SS jumped him by a mile
AJSS hasn't really gotten a shot in the rotation yet though. He wasn't blown out of the water in the starts he had last year and was injured in his first start this year.

Maybe he's about to step up
Waldrep getting rocked. Hope he's used to get an impact player
Was said he was pretty much only using breaking pitches
Count me as the low man on Waldrep.
But in other news, here's a blurb on Baldwin from Longenhagen: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/hitting-prospects-update-notes-on-the-top-100-bats/
"Braves catcher Drake Baldwin is the new name in this group. His minor league Statcast data jives with the impressive BP and in-game performance he had at the Futures Game. There’s enough power here for this guy to be a primary catcher."
That average EV is 92.8.
For reference, here's the EV of the current Braves hitters (min 50 PAs):
Ozuna, Marcell 92.9
Riley, Austin 92.4
Acuña Jr., Ronald 92.2
Olson, Matt 92.0
d'Arnaud, Travis 90.2
Kelenic, Jarred 89.8
Arcia, Orlando 89.7
Harris II, Michael 89.3
Albies, Ozzie 88.6
Murphy, Sean 87.7
Duvall, Adam 87.1
No getting carried away here, but that's a catcher with the #9 EV out of 619 minor league hitters with 50+ PAs (Nacho was #360 at 87.1 and can't play SS). Alex Jackson is #6 on that list, and we all know there's more to hitting than EV, but Baldwin is clearly the best position prospect in the organization assuming he is an actual catcher.

The one worry is his ground ball/fly ball rate. 58% GB and 22% fly ball rate.

If he starts getting more loft on the ball then look out.
I’d do something with Murphy now if we aren’t playing him
Your mom said she would do something with Murphy now too.
