Probably should cut the old man some slack. Harder to hustle at his age.
Mets aren't worried. It's just the usual NY media harping on something.Soto...

I wish there were something for the Mets to be worried about
Sure hate for that situation to become toxic or anything detrimental to the Mets !Mets aren't worried. It's just the usual NY media harping on something.
To the casual fan Soto is struggling because the end results for him aren't like what they usually are at the moment. And he just signed a mega deal making 50 million a year. It's an easy target in a market with a ton of people to gobble it up.
except the stros are on the hook for over 100 million more to al2vay including this year.Looks like a 28 year old 2B I know.
When is the last time you saw Ozuna hustle? That Soto contract is gonna be rough. Once most of these guys get paid they lose hustle

Ozuna didn't just sign a 15 year contract. A lot of guys get paid and then don't perform as well as before when they were working toward a big pay day. Hopefully Soto isn't one of them bc he makes the game more exciting. Ozuna is 8 years older also. When is the last time you saw Ozuna hustle?
Great hitters tend to stay great hitters as long as they take of themselves. But for sure, Soto will either be at 1b or a primary DH within 3-4 years.
Soto has an amazing eye and that's what will help him age as he starts to DH. 15 years is a long time.
