Also a kid who's projected to be a top 5 pick in a couple of weeks.lsu pitcher has 123 pitches and still in game. I think college coaches should rot in hell for the most part. Imagine not giving a F about a guy with a pro career bc you want a ring
Better than Verdugo, yes. Because Verdugo does nothing well.Heyward DFA’d… would he be better to watch than Verdonezo or White? I guess he’s still rehabbing an injury and he’s been terrible so probably not
Gibson would earn the league minimum.Yes there is absolutely no use in wasting money on a Kyle Gibson or Charlie Morton. Let the rookie go for it.
Kyle Gibson had nothing left though. Uncle Charlie on the other hand is roughly the same pitcher as last year. Which would be valuable at this point.Gibson would earn the league minimum.
I'm sure AA is being super active especially after the Sale news but nobody besides bottom dwellers are selling and are probably gonna wait to get max value.Just looking at it practically, if 90 wins is the benchmark to making the playoffs, the team has to go 55-32 the rest of the way to finish 90-72. Given the depth of the NL, even if the Brewers, Cardinals, Reds, and D'backs all fall off and behind you, you still need one of San Diego or San Francisco (who you're 1-9 against so far) to fall flat, so you probably need to add 2-3 more wins to get a playoff spot. So that's 58-29 to get to 93-69. But even just sticking with 90 wins as the ticket to a playoff berth, there is nothing about the way this team has played since late April/early May 2024 to suggest they have it in them to play at that pace for a sustained period. It's going to take a major roster shakeup, things that we don't really see coming. And again, AA cannot afford to wait four more weeks for the market to be more active.
