2025 Spring Training Thread

Amazing from Strider. Looks like he threw all 4 pitches, but not certain about the CU. 94-98 MPH on the 4-seamer. I wasn't expecting him to go more than 1 inning. It feels like they've been playing coy on how far along he is . . . I ain't mad at it.

Well when you're that efficient... hard not to let him go more

So frigging pumped to see Strider again. I wouldn't hate it if he made his first start on April 18th when I go for my birthday.

What's strider inning limit gonna be this season?

I never understood inning limits over pitch count limits... is it the number of up/downs being harder on the arm versus the number of pitches. I mean a 7 pitch inning is not the same as a 27 pitch inning.. but in the inning limit world, it is..

I wasn't jumping on you.. just a thought I have always had..

the procedure he had is new to the sport.. so I don't think there is really enough data to really guess this. I am sure the team has some limit on him to some degree.

I've also never understood that. The only thing I can think is the break in between innings so maybe the arm gets a little cold?

He has had 11 months to recover from a surgery with a typical recovery time of 8 months. This was always about limiting his innings. I dont care who the 5th starter is if our big 4 is all healthy at the same time.

Teams are aware of this. Several times this spring a SP came out for a reliever then started the next inning. They reached an inning pitch count limit.

SS was electric. Just rewatched the highlights. Goodness gracious.

I want to see SS big dick us through the playoffs. He's the guy thats totally capable of it.

That's now 18 walks in 17 innings for Anderson. I feel for the guy, but I'm starting to think he's on the outside looking in. There are any number of ways they can pull off the quasi 6-man rotation that Snit intends to use without him until Strider is ready.

He didn’t look awful. No one was barreling him up and got some swing and misses. The walks are brutal
