One of the Gattis threads last year was comical. People were saying what a HUGE downgrade it was going to be. Gattis is in the running for MVP right now if you ask me.
 
You are right TheThe, his pitch recognition is getting better, he would have swung at 1 or 2 of those pitches last year. He is now laying off bad stuff and of course he has the green light anytime and he makes them pay for that.
 
Schafer is getting a lot of time lately due to injuries. I think the little cheater is behind them somehow.
 
A pitcher should swing at the first pitch almost every time. Harang lets the best pitch go by and then swings at 2 bad ones. It feels like he does that every AB.
