8/9: Red Sox game 1

Nobody in the minors will be worth a crap to bring up besides Grissom. I wonder if AA would be that bold?
 
Get Grissom on a plane now. Like NOW.
What is the harm? Afraid he’s gonna smash so many baseballs that you can’t send him back down when Ozzie shows up?? …… so you gotta DFA Ozuna ?

His avg fastball was 96.0 last year and 94.5 in 2020. Before this game, he was at 94.3, so after tonight he may be at 2020 level.

Im certainly not sold he's back, but he had some swing and miss tonight, so I'm taking this as a positive
 
Grissom has 94 PAs at AA. Harris had 196 PA.

I guess it’s not inconceivable but for some reason it seems like a stretch to call him up.
 
Harris had the advantage of them thinking he was a lock down defender and all offense was a bonus.

People question Grissom defense.

No one can say for certain of course, but the equivalent I came up with was SS Ambioris Tavarez (currently in the FCL), who we spent most of our bonus pool on during the international signing period two years ago. The Reds got SS Victor Acosta, who was ranked similarly to Tavarez (although with somewhat different tool set) and signed for a similar contract during the same international signing period.

Not sure why they'll look outside the organization OR to Grissom for the short term. Ozzie's roughly two weeks away and Motter has been tearing the cover off the ball in Gwinnett. Simba hasn't hit in a LONG time.

If there's a chance Arcia won't be available to be added to the postseason roster I could see them taking a look at Didi as the utility guy (and extra LH bat).

I'm dying to see Grissom just like everyone else, but calling him up now when the games are much more important than when Harris came up seems like a stretch to me as well.

Has there been a more optimistic albies' report lately? I thought I read late September a week or 2 ago.
