You know, the Braves can’t really afford to just be punting a game every five days. The Phillies and Mets aren’t very good, but we don’t have some insurmountable lead where some small sample-size voodoo magic can’t **** us.

Soler for example…How can you watch a fastball right down the dick in the 5th facing this dude for the 3rd time? You should never get caught looking for something else from a pitcher at 85 pitches.
 
So what’s the option for the 5th spot…we can’t keep running that piece of **** Touki out there….
 
We’re losing to a terrible Rockies team, the Mets lead the Cards and the Phillies are now within one of the Cubs. Cool.
 
Touki is perfectly acceptable as the 5th starter as long as the manager understands his limitations, and uses him correctly.

It’s 2021, not 1981. Just because a guy throws the first pitch of a game does not mean he should be allowed pitch long enough to “get the win”.

As others have said, these types of bonehead pitching moves will likely be the reason the Braves get bounced in the playoffs.
