Touki is perfectly acceptable as the 5th starter as long as the manager understands his limitations, and uses him correctly.

It’s 2021, not 1981. Just because a guy throws the first pitch of a game does not mean he should be allowed pitch long enough to “get the win”.

As others have said, these types of bonehead pitching moves will likely be the reason the Braves get bounced in the playoffs.

So tax the life out of the bullpen every 5th day and pray to god they don’t get overworked the other 4? This late in the seasons we need starters to go 5 or hopefully 6….going 4 innings and allowing just as many runs won’t cut it.

You have smyly too. I'd piggy back the 2. Between the 2, maybe you can get an effective 6 innings
 
Braves have a 4-2 record on this homestand, but they haven't looked good. I wanna see this team start playing well

Are you aware of how many pitchers the Braves currently have on the roster?

How many teams have 5 guys going 5-6 innings reliably? I’ll wait for you to look it up.
