The orioles jump all over taking him for 2/12 plus buy out, right? Mancini type replacement for cheap. We eat 24 million but we get the roster spot and some money back.

Grissom either plays SS next year, learns LF, or starts the year at AAA. He simply can't be allowed to rot on the bench behind Riley/SS/Albies/Olson, which is precisely what Snit would do.

I agree. My issue with putting him in LF is that’s he’s RH and he’s a cold April away from being in a weak side of a platoon with Rosario.

Having him start the year in AAA isn’t a terrible outcome. Keeps his clock stopped until an injury happens. The average team gives away so many at bats to replacement level players. He’s a good insurance policy against that.
 
The only issue is Marcel still can’t field worth a damn. Hopefully Ronnie is healthy enough to play RF every day in the postseason.
