Alberto Callaspo Possibly Being Traded

Callaspo won't have to worry, as he won't be be there long, imo. He'll be DFA'd by LA most likely. I imagine he was only included to even up the money and clear a roster spot for us.

Uribe is not the bad player everyone is making him out to be. Great defense and dude had a .770 plus OPS last year.

They have a embarasent of riches at third and we just have embarassments.

Yea, plus if they had no room for Uribe why would they want Callaspo? My guess is they don't want him but want at least two of the other players we're sending them (probably the prospects they like).

Am I reading this correctly? Is it really possible that the Braves will be getting Zach Lee in this deal?

If that is the case, then the Braves will have added 4 of the top 50 prospects that were rated by John Sickels prior to the 2014 season: Matt Wisler, Mike Foltynewicz, Max Fried, and Zach Lee. Suddenly, what was a weakness prior to John Hart coming on board, the promotion of Brian Bridges, and the addition of Roy Clark has started to become a strength. Still need more in the lower levels, but this is great!

Braves get

Kershaw
Uribe

LA gets:

Callaspo
Stultz
Cahill

We're essentially swapping out under performing players with bad contracts who need a change of scenery. LA throwing in Lee as well to get us to take on Kershaw's contract,

I'd be good with getting Lee depending on who we give up, so I'll wait to give my take on the deal after I know if we're actually getting Lee and who we're sending to them. So far all I know is three players are going to them along with Callaspo. While we're getting Uribe and a pitching prospect speculated to be Lee or Anderson by Bowman.

The details of the #Dodgers and #Braves trade are being kept quiet for now because the 2 teams are playing and players not yet informed.
