So awesome. I love it. They deserve it. I hope Hamilton has an MVP season.

Sorry I didn't read past his last post. From a calculation of WAR, yes that's true.

Thought he meant on a per game basis.

:tchop:

Holy ****. That's a fantastic deal for the Rangers. I would LOVE to have Hamilton for only $15 million.

I don't see it. He's regressed a ton the past couple years and his defense has gotten to be pathetic. Plus, he's shown he can't stay clean

Looks like it's less than 7 million now. Even better. Basically what we are paying Cahill for one year, and the Rangers get 3 years of Hamilton. They are paying him less than Callaspo per year. He was a steal at 3/15. And now 3/

One good year from him basically covers that contract (and then some). Not sure how anyone could think this isn't a great deal for a team with a DH.

I don't think it's terribly tough to find a .750 OPS DH. His skills are diminishing, making less contact, less power, base running skills are diminishing. Last year he even had an extremely high Babip yet only hit .263. Plus, you have him for 2 more years after this year.

That's not even accounting for how unreliable he is.

I'm sure it makes sense for Texas bc they've had him before and aren't close to competing so it's a novelty thing.

It's also for 2.3 million per year or less if the reports are true. He could never play a game for the Rangers and it's still not that big of a deal. If he does perform anything close to a league average player? Absolute steal.

It's basically 2 million per. The same as Stults. Less than Callaspo. The Rangers are paying this guy - .246 .297 .347 .644 - nearly 3 million per. It's a great deal.

Wow. The Angels are a mess. I wonder if Mike Trout is regretting that extension.
