good. embrace the evil

I'm no fan of how the Dodgers approach things, but I wouldn't be averse to see Freeman get another ring. He's had a real up-and-down season with his son's serious illness and his finger and ankle injuries.

That and I f*cking cannot stand the Padres. The game is different and I am way old, but Tatis, Jr., is lucky that the ghosts of Don Drysdale and Bob Gibson won't show up. I don't advocate pitchers throwing at guys intentionally, but with the new rules it's difficult for pitchers to come inside on guys at all. The players used to police the game amongst themselves, but that era is long gone.

Tatis is an ass. He makes Acuna look like Glavine out there.

Dodgers have likable stars. Freeman, Betts, Ohtani. Wouldn't mind at all if they won. They are the model orginzation on how to run things right now. Very 90's Braves but for the modern game.

Only reason I’d mind if the Dodgers win is that I don’t want to hear the discourse about Freeman getting another ring before the Braves.

I was and am a big-time Freeman guy, but those who still decry Anthopoulos for moving on from Freeman really have to let that go. Olson is fine. I don't like the length of his contract, but his annual AAV is below Freeman's by more than a bit and that provides some flexibility.

Hoping for a Yankees/Guardians ALCS. Would be nice to see the Guardians win a WS with Ramirez before he declines.

But admittedly, that seems unlikely with Skubal on the mound tonight. Granted he is throwing on short rest.

The Guardians wpuld likely put up a much better fight against the Yankees than Detroit would. Guardians at least have somewhat of a good offense and an elite BP.

Hoping for a SD/Cleveland series with Cleveland taking the trophy.

When Darvish pauses mid delivery and pumps the ball in and out of his glove …. How’s that not a balk?

Meh. Lane was my top choice for pick-up at the trade deadline. Oh well. I really can't stand any of the remaining teams, so I guess this is the end for me this season. See you all next year. With a new batting coach! Yay!
