Braves interested in CK and DK

Did I time warp back to 1983?

I’d be shocked if it’s more than this year plus an option for next year. DK is not the kind of guy the Braves should be paying market rates for 2.5+ years.

I'd be ok if it's this year and next. We'll need some rotation help next year.

3-4 year deal, meh.

If we sign him, will you give us a break down on pitches using 2018 data?

Probably already posted but Kimbrel's deal is.

10 mil this year, 16 mil for his age 32/33 seasons and a club option for the 4th year.

Cant say im mad at AA for passing on that.

He’s a crafty LHP relying on a bunch of pitches with movement and location. Here are his xwOBA number sthe last years:

He’s another #3 that folks are overrating based on name recognition. Folks are misguided if they think he’s going to come in and front a contender’s rotation. There’s a reason nobody wanted to pay him premium money over multiple years.

He just needs to give us 6 quality innings. He's not the Cy Winner or savior. Assuming he's not rusty like some of these other late signers were, he could help us quite bit.

Yeah. 2015 is his outlier and it won him a cy young. But he's been a pretty consistent 3 WAR per 200 innings pitcher.

My fear with Keuchel is that when it comes to the point in his career when he loses it, he is going to lose it in a hurry. He's a crafty guy and--as you say--he has a variety of angles and pitches that relies on keeping guys off balance. But that might not hold up that well.

I'm not all that high on DK but I'd AA opens up the purse strings to sign him, I'll give him a break on all the financial flexibility mockery.

He's probably more a #3 than a #1, but he's still pretty solid.

If the contract isnt absurd, would be a good move.

#Braves have agreed to terms with left-hander Dallas Keuchel, sources tell The Athletic.
Likely a one-year deal, but working to confirm that.
