Deboer from Washington would not be a good fit, imo. But I really don't know who else you bring in. Bama is currently a victim of their own success. No one wants to follow in the footsteps of the GOAT, because the expectations are insane. They would almost be better off signing some hotshot coordinator like Warren Ruggiero or Garrett Riley, hungry to make their own name, rather a coach like Deboer who would be chasing the money.

I imagine whoever they hire won't be around at the start of year 4. The first time he loses 3 games and/or loses to Auburn, Bama fans will be calling for his head.

DeBoer has a helluva coaching record. Reminds me of Brian Kelly when ND nabbed him. All he does is win everywhere he goes

DeBoer is a northern coach. It will be interesting to see how he does in the south. A lot of pundits thought he’d stay in the north and take over for harbaugh

I don’t see why Harbaugh would leave his dream job. Especially when the boosters and school are more than willing to pony up the money to keep him especially after a Natty. He pretty much has that job for life now.

He keeps interviewing for NFL jobs every year. Seems pretty clear he wants back in the league.

Unfinished business. He has nothing left to prove in college. Plus he can get out before the sanctions come

Cfb coaches are an arrogant lot and the new landscape of cfb is painfully time consuming . Having to recruit your whole roster every year stinks

Coach in Michigan and having to recruit and deal with 17 year old kids or go move to California and work much less?

Epic year for college football! So much parity and so many good teams still with a chance at the playoff.

Refs doing everything they can to keep the UGA-Texas game close. Picking up a flag after fans throw bottles onto the field and delay the game was shocking. Then calling a clear TD by UGA short and letting it stand on reply was laughable.

Anything for ratings.

The pass interference was legitimately one of the worst calls I've ever seen. I'm glad they picked it up. And the TD had to be completely clear to overturn the call on the field. I think he got it, but it wasn't totally clear. So no overturn.

UGA has had plenty of calls go their way tonight, including the no call targeting call on the sideline that was clear targeting.

All yes

PI is a debatable call 90% of the time. There were worse calls in this game, much less ever.

The TD was completely clear. The first view showed it 100%.

Ultimately the refs kept the game close which is all they were asked to do. Still, UGA went into Austin and upset Texas by 15 and were CLEARLY the better team. Huge.

And I don't care if Kirby swore on a stack of Bibles that it wasn't PI, there's no way the refs should have picked up the flag after Texas fans threw trash on the field. The message there is if you throw stuff at the players, you might get what you want.

I've never seen a flag picked up like that and I'd wager no one here has either. Whether the call was ultimately right or not, the pick up was absolutely unprecedented.

And let's not forget the should have been safety where the Georgia defender has his jersey stretched out two feet beind him on a hold while the QB had the ball in the end zone.

That's one where there's no logical explanation for an innocent miss.

Hold up, refs changed a bad call because fans threw trash on the field? I swear to God if they ever pull some BS like that in an important Saints game again the refs wont make it out alive. I am beyond livid to see this happen now.

Pretty much. Refs didn't confer until the delay to clean up the field. Without the trash the next play is run without a change. Even the Texas safety who was initially called admitted the call isn't changed without the delay.

Horrible precedent set.

2014 lions cowboys playoff game. 3rd down PI called against Dallas. Penalty announced, ball was spotted. Then they changed their mind

Cost lions the game
