Dominion vs Fox

Any outcome that does not force FOX to publicly state how it preyed upon the ignorance of its viewers for profit will be less than full justice.

Get ready to be disappointed.

I totally agree. But bear in mind Dominion is suing for damages due to lost income. That is the suit not a public reckoning of Fox's reckless disregard of truth or it's cynical manipulation of it's synchophants.

You know who you are.
Hopefully ?

I think most people are surprised Fox hasnt settled yet. I think it will be something like 500 million. The thing about lost revenue is when are we counting till. Even after Fox's lies have been exposed Republicans are still banning Dominion software. So Dominions potential client base was essentially cut in half. Even a lot of Democratic areas are hesitant to hire Dominion just based on the hissy fits Republicans in their area will throw. So do we count revenue lot for the next 10 years? 20 years? 100 years? If I was Dominion I would hold out for Fox to run a week long election fraud debunking special that airs in Hannity and Tuck the Cucks time slots. I also bet Fox will rather throw in an extra 200 million in the settlement just to avoid admitting fault.

The BIG LIE turns out to have a pretty BIG price tag.

There are other lawsuits pending involving Smartmatic. And other networks. Newsmax and OAN.

Also it seems like Fox NEws gets to let their anchors not deal with these issues. Fox made their statement but like Cucker doesn't have to say he lied on air.

No doubt our MAGA friends will join us in celebrating the fake news media being held accountable for their lies. Fox still has the smartmatic lawsuit.

I could see an enterprising lawyer pitching a lawsuit to one of the January 6 defendants against Fox.

Is this really a big win for democracy and journalistic integrity?

FOX still is free to go on air everyday and spin the BS for profit. Will a $780 million payout force Murdoch to change much? I think not.

FOX's only mistake was sloppiness in the way they articulated the big lie. Attacking a specific company was where they screwed up. They could've easily promoted the false narrative in a safer, smarter way, which is what they'll be doing from now on.

Smartmatic attorney:

“Dominion’s litigation exposed some of the misconduct and damage

caused by Fox’s disinformation campaign.

Smartmatic will expose the rest…”

MAGA folks will easily ignore this inconvenient piece of news - their whole political philosophy is based on lies or half-truths. They would say that it's the same on the Left, but it's not.

Fox News shareholders are now formally seeking information on

how the Fox News board of directors handled this scandal,

which Reuters says is a likely prelude to a shareholder suit against Fox.

This Dominion settlement is the beginning of Fox’s legal problems, not the end.

Their heads are so far up their rear ends that they think Fox is leftwing. Thats how far gone they are.
