They had no idea for sure her ideas were BS or not in the early stages. Their opinions of her aren't fact.

The absolute craziness of Cajun's point is if Fox lets a liberal on who they suspect might be lying and that liberal defames republicans on air Fox should be sued by the republicans.

They knew the evidence she claimed to have was BS because they asked for it from Powell before she went on air. In one instance Powell sent them an email from a woman claiming to be a Dominion employee........ who also claimed to be a decapitated time traveler. They still allowed her to go on air and state her claims as if they were facts. All Fox News had to do was make sure these were clearly presented as allegations and not facts. They wouldnt be sued for having a guest on to say that in their opinion Dominion did whatever.

You say that while in that same post projecting what media I watch. I watch a lot of independent media from both sides. Unlike Republicans I dont choose my media based on whether they tell me what I want to hear or not. Heck, I even love to listen to Alex Jones on occasion. You choose to listen to whoever tells you what you want to hear. You say you listen to constitutional lawyers but theres no amount of them I could quote that you would accept over Dershowitz and Turley who I am guessing you are referring to. They are far from representing a consensus among constitutional lawyers.

Wow you got a bad case of Sturgitis today. Sturgitis is when you purposely misinterpret something to try and draw a false equivalence. Let me explain what would be defamation for you. If Don Lemon at CNN has a guest on that says anyone who enters Maralago gets aids, Lemon doesnt push back at all, continues to have on guests who say anyone who enters Maralgo gets aids while CNN's fact checkers tell him that its not true and in Don Lemons texts he admits that its a lie, and then half of Maralagos clients cancel their membership at the club....... then that would be defamation. It meets the 3 elements I explained to you. Its a lie or something that a reasonable person can tell is not true. He knew it was a lie despite allowing it to be presented as a fact on his program. And then theres the third element that would be damages from the loss in revenue from half the membership canceling. Even with all this. If CNN were to simply stop when sent a cease & desist letter and aired a correction they would be in the clear.

The problem is that all of this is Dominion's filings so it doesn't make it fact. Fox lawyers said a lot of cherry picking going on. Need to see the whole e-mail to see what is in it.

When the courts are telling me things that I know not to be true then I'm suspicious. I showed you the evidence. Yes, the left is engaging in intense lawfare against their political opposition and the fact you don't see it shows you are not living in reality.
 
What you claim to be true doesnt pass the sniff test in a court of law and rather than reevaluating your opinion you assume its the courts who are wrong because you seek out any media that validates your opinion and you disregard anything that doesnt fit the narrative you want to be true.

Actually, go look at all the pre-2020 election stories that talk about how Dominion is vulnerable. There are TONS of them. Now, it's a conspiracy theory to say it. It's called being gaslighted (good boy, Cajun) and we now have a judge that is going along with it.

I don't know why you think something being theoretically vulnerable is a defense for saying Hugo Chavez was involved with Dominion to overthrow elections.

It's not a new precedent and no it doesn't apply to media that you don't like is liable. Trump already tried and was laughed out of court.

It's worth remembering that Rupert Murdoch is only trying to turn the biggest profit he can. He's been scamming the American public the same way Trump has.
 
Surprised the judge didnt grant summary judgment. However, there will be the bonus of seeing various luminaries in the witness box.
