Will say if the Braves somehow got Anderson and Groome, while signing both, that would be pretty crazy.

Yep. Taking a mid to late first rounder 3rd overall and hoping a top 10 type talent falls to you at 40 is borderline insane.
 
Guys before you go slashing the front office's tires... watch pick(s) #40 and #44. We could be getting three top 25 talents and possibly two Top 15's with the money saved on Anderson.

So before you go cursing the FO wait until those picks are in...
 
How long are they going to drag out these picks for? At this rate picks 40 and 44 will be at midnight

Clearly you didnt read my PSA. The only consensus right now about the top 3 is that theres not a whole lot of difference from the #1 prospect to the #15 prospect. What would be the point of the Braves even doing any scouting if they would pass on their highest rated player to go with MLB.com says is the top rated player on the board?

That's understandable, but then you're also missing out on the elite talents who likely are only among the top 10 picks

As opposed to the front offices that say "Yeah we gonna suck for a long time. Dont buy any tickets, just save that money cause we gonna play like **** for atleast 12 years"
 
While I agree with the proposition that you want to go for upside with your early picks, when you have very early picks you can get both a high ceiling and a high floor. That's why I think the Moniak and Senzel picks were very smart and not too surprising.
