Election Day 2014

Shaheen wasn't really a swing. NH is a fairly split state, but Shaheen is entrenched, and the Scott Brown ads were the ****ing worst, any moderate would have been scared off by their stupidity. ****er was bringing up border security. No one in NH gives a **** about that.

swing was probably the wrong word, but definitely a state going in that was within the margin of error in the polls. A big win for the Dems nonetheless. They had to have that one.

Not surprising. In the debate I watched, the Senate Libertarian candidate could hardly put a sentence together. Perdue and Deal killing it in the rural parts of the state. Can't see Nunn and Carter making up the difference in the cities.

Seems like things went as expected here in Alabama. Governor race was called for the incumbent Robert Bentley very quickly after the polls closed.

Florida governor race still close.

The Sessions race wasn't as close as expected. The nonexistant challenger ran a lame campaign.

Arkansas votes to raise the minimum wage and then also elects the senator that opposes the minimum wage bill

I expected Sessions to win, but you're right about the gap. There has been some talk about a Sessions run for president in 2016, but I tend to think he won't do it. However, I have nothing to back that up except for my gut feeling.

Looks like Louisiana senate race will go to a runoff.

Not unexpected. Honestly things seem to be going as expected tonight outside of the Virginia race. The big question for me though still is will Perdue get 50% tonight or will it go into January? Obama's random statement tonight makes me think that maybe his people are telling him that Perdue is going to get 50%.

Colorado already called for the Pubs. Bit of a surprise to see it called this early. A big win for the Pubs. Just need Iowa, Alaska, GA at 50% and no major unbelievable upsets for Pub control of Senate.

I can't believe the VA senate race is still too close to be called. I mean at this point we're talking about a less than 1% win for either candidate. To put that in perspective. The dem candidate was up by like 8% the day before the election. It's surprising either way. Clearly Gillespie did something there that the pubs need to pay close attention to.

Scott Walker wins reelection as Governor again. That dude has gone up against some legit diversity and won every time. Certainly an interesting candidate for President in 2016 for the Pubs.

Got a lot of respect for that guy. Fights hard and refuses to back down. I'd like to see him run in 2016

Local tv in Iowa report Pubs win in Iowa for Senate. A huge win if true. Alaska biggest question mark left. North Carolina and Virginia still undecided. Pubs win one of those and it's done. If they Win Alaska then they just need to win one of GA and LA runoff. Still a chance GA isn't even a runoff.
