Election Day 2014

I'm just rolling my eyes at the spin of this election. Nothing substantive was discussed that's going to fix problems you and I will be paying for years from now.

Nothing substantive was discussed in at least the last three elections if not more. It's funny how the roles have been reversed in the last two years.

The bottom line is this: The middle class is getting absolutely killed right now, thanks in large part to some of the president's policies. That's not to suggest the other side will fix it or not make it ****tier. The dems just happened to be the ones two-thirds in charge. The next two years will be nothing but prick waiving by the president and the Republican-controlled Congress. As a result, the people lose and the big club George Carlin spoke of benefits.

Sorry, but I just don't have confidence in anyone anymore.

Kentucky is the biggest head scratcher.

State that has been helped by Obamacare the most and you re-elect the guy that was one of the leaders in the charge to repeal it.

I lived in Kentucky, grew up there in Paducah, many family living there around 50, all bible thumping Conservatives ( anti gay and anti abortion to the core). He has done NOTHING to help the blacks. I go home, still thugs, non working don't want to work, what do you expect.

Do you honestly think they will vote? They are probably still high. I swear when I went home so much weed was passed around, I am surprised I never got second hand smoke.

Repucraps don't care about us either. They will ship your middle class job to a 10 dollar an hour person in a New York minute, which is 5 seconds.

Goodness, any of you look at the governor map? Not a good night for the Ds.

Unions have them. They need them but there is not enough union workers to make a difference. At my job we have around 165 people. Only a 150 showed up to greet Walker and one of the nicest looking females above 40 I ever seen in real life Mrs. Kleefisch showed up with a surprise Sen Paul Ryan. The 15 that didnt show up is known Dems from the office and the other blacks. I spoke to one of them and someone told them not to show up and I don't care to ask who, they were really beneath me and they knew it. The owner told them if you are not a Walker supporter, you do not have to show up. I was the only black and after Kleefisch knew my position, I MIGHT have a friend in the state. She already knows my wife.

I am so happy Walker won, he will keep the taxes down and the students fees fixed right now. The Dems want to increase it. He also do not want to increase propery taxes since he lower the previous ones as well.

He is not presidential material though. He is not good at speaking. Sen. Ryan is really good no pauses, no errors and no grammar issues. He was that damn good. Walker is like Putin, short, studders and not sure of himself if in front of a crowd and would eaten up in a debate.

Now will the President work with Rs?

Other way around.

Republicans can no longer play the angry obstructers anymore and blame everything that doesn't get done on POTUS.

It's ironic, because if the Republicans want to stay in power, they'll almost have to help the President the next 2 years. Otherwise, they're going to lose a lot of seats in blue territory in 2016.

I'm happy with the way the elections went tonight. That being said, now these people put into these elected positions, the hard work for them begins and the eyes of the American people will be on them. It is time to stop the partisan politics and bickering that goes on and get things done. Quit the back and forth nonsense and actually work together. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride and compromise. I know I'm probably living in a dreamworld even talking about compromise and working together. But, I get so sick and tired of the nonsense coming out of Washington. Frankly, I see children act better.

Tonight, I talked politics more on this board than I normally do. Mainly because this is an important night in the life of our country. But, this will not be a regular occasion for me. Much like I get tired of elected officials bickering, I can't get into conversations in which the level of respect seems to be less than marginal. I do have strong political beliefs, but I'd rather not engage into a mudslinging contest, which seems to be what talking politics boil down to. I may vote Republican, but I will never degrade someone who votes Democrat. I'm just not that way. I'd rather engage in respectful discussion. Until political talk is on a respectable level (not likely), then my contributions in regular political banter will be minimal at best.

The bottom line is no matter what your political beliefs are, there is one thing we all should agree on: We want the very best for The United States of America.

You make me smile. If the shoe were on the other foot, then "of course the R POTUS should work with the D congress, I mean after all the American people just spoke."

And why exactly should they help a President with such abysmal poll numbers? That seems counterintuitive to me. Seems like the voters are wanting more obstruction of Obama policies or else they'd of just elected a lot of Ds.

Obama is your obstruction now.

He has bailed on the blacks....has been since they voted on him and he knew they would voted for him regardless (just talk to dad and he said as much). So they will just shrug shoulders. Actually Carson would have been better as he is pro black and Obama isn't. (Working on dad to vote for him as a black Rep, it will be a hard sell but he said if he can make our younger generation non thuggish and responsible, he might, just might in his 68 years of life vote Rep if Carson runs)

I am so happy. I am high now because I am happy.

Bush and Pelosi actually got a lot done in 2 years, one being averting a second great depression.

President's poll numbers are a reflection of the populace's feelings, not what's actually going on.

POTUS isn't up for re-election. There will be tons of (R) seats up for grabs from the 2010 wave in 2016, that are in blue territory. McConnell will have plenty of work to do as his party is less united than the new minority.

A significant part of the problem is that McConnell, Reid, Boner and stone-**** crazy Pelosi will be running their sides again most likely.

Still doesn't make sense. Sounds like bitter spin.

Seems rather clear that the onus is on POTUS. But anyway...

Republicans stalled for the last 6 years. The only tough votes they made was to avoid the debt ceiling. Notice there was no government shutdown fighting this year.. didn't want to look like assholes in an election year.

You stall long enough, eventually the populace will actually believe that it's the other person's fault.

As they say, if you tell a lie long enough, and yell loud enough, eventually people will believe it.

You don't like numbers. I do.

Numbers are not trending in your party's favor and they've been pretty spot on the last 4 election cycles.

President doesn't get elected twice, despite the fact he's had pretty much zero cooperation from the (R)'s in 6 years, starting with the now new Majority Leader saying his first year his job was to make him a one-term President.

Will be contacting Walker tomorrow letting him know if Ben Carson runs that I will be the Wisconsins black person to get the word around.

Obama neglected our race, I won't. I will make sure we get a chance in life and get rid of the thuggish ways we are portrayed to be.

I am so hoping he does it. I am tired of being a Carlton Banks.
