Let's just look at the value given up for the value received. Let's assume Alex Wood averages 2.5 WAR over the next 4 years (conservative in my opinion), and Peraza averages 2 WAR over the next 6 years (also conservative in my opinion).
Now let's assume that Olivera averages 3 WAR for the next 4 years (which I think is generous).
At $7M/WAR, we're trade $154M worth of value over the next 6 years, in exchange for $84M in value.
That's a $70M value delta that we're on the wrong side. That's a lot of value that Bird, Paco, and the pick need to make up.
