That's rough. Germany is certainly gonna be favored given arguably the 2 best players for Brazil are out. Lets see if the refs do them some favors.

BTW I'm sad the MLS ref that was there hasn't gotten more games. He rocked. Behind Howard Webb he was one of the best refs of the tournament. I'm assuming Webb won't get the finals again so I'll be used in one of the next 4 games.

I never said he was overhyped. I said James Rodriguez who was his superior was more deserving fo the golden ball. Will be interesting to see where this goes though with Neymar and James out. Only Robben and messi of the mentioned remain. I'm guessing of Argentina is eliminated Messi will lose his shot, same with Robben and Argentina. Then who does it go to? Muller? De Brunye?

I said not as deserving. Neymar has been outclassed by James, Messi, and Robben. I mean no one has been on Messi's level so far, but Neymar is well below the top 3 but is mentioned as number 1 or 2. Of course with Neymar and Rodriguez checking out now, there won't be that anymore.
 
Leo is my favorite player cause of that run. ALmost anyone else in the world goes down on that first touch to get a free kick, it was his 4th contact that finally brought him down.

Only reason that would be fun is for Brazil to lose in the finals when Messi drops 5 on them.

It will be Germany/Argentina is my guess. Germany has too many breaks for them. They won't be outsized like Columbia was and shouldn't mess up on set pieces. Also Neuer is the best keeper left in the cup by a mile and I can't believe we'll have a final with a MLS goalkeeper and the backup for Monaco.

What will be really fun is to see if Zusi gets a standing O at the next match in Azteca. Zusi was one of the fun stories of the world cup. His rise from not even getting a sniff of camp to starting at the world cup is up there with only Beckerman as far as misses from Bob Bradley.
 
Heard that yesterday but sounds more credible now. Also heard him tied to Liverpool for a trial.

Also think there's a very real chance Besler makes a move to EPL or Bundesliga or his signs a deal as the highest paid defender in MLS. One of those will happen he's made too many waves and his contract will be up after next season.
