Silly season is full on getting started.

Still waiting for the chips to move in the big names but some rumors are swirling up with more intensity.

Daily Star reporting MAn U is looking at a Cavani for Di Maria swap. It truly makes sense. PSG wanted Di Maria. I believe it was Di Maria's agent who said he would have gone there if not for FFP. Cavani fills a bigger need for Man U (an out and out striker) something I proposed about a month ago as it makes sense for both teams. PSG doesn't need Cavani and Zlatan. Man U won't need Di Maria, Mata, and Depay. Or insert another MF, they have a good number of them.

Arsenal are supposedly all but signed Cech, he was supposedly in or scheduled for medical evaluation a day or 2 ago. Idiot Chelsea fan was going on and on about how Mourinho wouldn't let him sign with United or Arsenal, when I told him Cech signed an agreement that CHelsea wouldn't get in the way of his transferring and Mourinho had no say, he said I was wrong, well, yeah. Chelsea fans continue to be the dumbest in the PL.

Man U is looking at Seamus Coleman, if Temo was here, he'd cry a little.
 
I don't envy Jill ELlis today. If the US loses everything she did will be under such a microscope, if we win but not convincingly they'll still critique (Why was so and so starting, why still 4-4-2, etc.)

I don't think the 4-4-2 is the problem. I think getting the right players to fit in is the problem. They need to bench Heath for O'Hara. Heath likes to cut in an congests the midfield. That won't fly very well against the Germans, need to keep play wide and open. I would also start Leroux with Morgan to keep the high pressure theme going and bring in Wambach later on when the defense is tired. I can't see benching Holliday, but Lloyd and Brian were the most successful midfield pairing for the US. Hard to say. THis is basically the final before the final. This is playing the USSR in the semi-finals. The following match won't be a cakewalk, but you've got to beat the best first.
 
I'm stoked for the finals. I think I have to work early the next day but I don't care, I can work through a hangover. I'm just not sure if there's a bar in the shire that will have a cool enough vibe for me. So it may be stay home and invite friends over.
 
That was awesome. Little bit of luck on the missed pk, but I only saw the 2H and it was exciting to watch.

Germany was like 12 for 12 going into it. They were due to miss. Carli Lloyd made sure that it didn't matter anyway her setup for O'Hara was brilliant. Thankfully Ellis realized how important it is to have Lloyd be the offensive engine.
 
I HATE CONCACAF refs. I think Yedlin has been fouled about 5 or 6 times and no calls going in his favor. I mean seriously Nahar 2 handed pushed Yedlin and no foul. ****.
