So what evidence does Qatar have that FIFA doesn't want released. It's going to get to the point that major sponsors will start pulling out. Some already have. Some won't because they need the money for when people stop caring about Qatar after. But if enough pressure is put on these companies globally they may pull out if FIFA doesn't move the bid. THey clearly fixed th evote to get it there, Qatar wasn't remotely ready. Move it to the US now. If you want to give Qatar 4 more years of preparation that's fine in my opinion but they can't be ready by the WC, and they're committing human rights violations. Pull the plug. Put it in the US. US already has the infrastructure to handle it. Give each group collection an area of the country. Midwest, Southeast, Texas area, Southwest, Northwest, Northeast. 2 groups double up. Northeast will have it's games played at Fedex, Metlife, the Linc and Gillette. Midwest has too many opportunities. Michigan Stadium, Beaver Stadium, Ohio Stadium, Lambeau, Wisconsin's stadium, Arrowhead, MSU's stadium, and plenty more. Southeast I'd go with the deeper parts of the south. Take the new Falcons Stadium (sorry Atlanta FC, you'll have to move out for a few weeks) Tiger Stadium, Sanford Stadium, Gator's stadium would be my picks. ANd if any of them use turf, they're out but I think all of them will be grass. Texas area you host all the games in texas area stadiums. AT&T, Texas Memorial, Cotton Bowl, Aggie's stadium, Oklahoma Memorial, and Reliant Stadium would all be options. IN the Southwest, LA Memorial, Rosebowl, Sun Devil, and Qualcomm are the ones I'd pick. Northwest would get Mile High as our version of that BS Amazon stadium, Levi's Century Link, and I'm struggling for a 3rd. I guess you could go BYU or Oregon's stadium.

If you want to consolidate those areas and not do it regionally that would work. Either the Southeast and Texas or the Midwest and Northeast would give you plenty of stadiums to pick from.

lol LIVERPOOL.

5-0. "Sacked in the morning" chants in the Liverpool section.

On the other hand, Walcott with a hat trick right now. Arsenal want moreeee.

Mile High, Levi's, Century Link are 3 right there.

If you want a fourth, I'd assume Oregon would get it.

So, fifth for Tott. Awesome season.

Awesome season, that makes 2 straight seasons finishing with less points than th eyear before. I don't know what's sadder, that Tottenham needed Liverpool to epically collapse to get to 5th or that they collapsed so hard that without Southampton collapsing harder, they wouldn't have made Europe?

I really hope Villa wins the FA cup to knock Liverpool out of Europa.

Would be my guess. Honestly you could just hold it in the Midwest, wouldn't be overly hot like the south, would be a massive boom to that area which has the infrastructure, just needs a tourist attraction to generate some interest. Part of me wants to move to the Midwest, but then I tell the hipster part of me to shut up, I already gave it my hair.

Russia, meanwhile, accused the United States of acting illegally.

In a statement, Russian foreign ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said the arrests (for accepting bribes to host the world cup) were "evidently another case of illegal extra-territorial implementation of American law."

The 2018 World Cup is due to be played in Russia.

LOL

Sadly because he funnels money into poor nations and convinces them another FIFA head won't, he keeps getting elected. Because he carried CAF, AFC, and a chunk of CONCACAF and all of Oceania he was set. I really hope UEFA, CONCACAF's big nations (as obviously the Caribbean nations like Blatter), and CONMEBOL split off if Blatter stays in office. Would make for some fun having 2 major world soccer institutions. Until the big dogs start to act out, FIFA will keep on being corrupt as ****.

Wenger is building something special yet again at Arsenal.

We're one striker and corner from threatening Chelsea.

Shiny Shiny Trophy. :Bunchie1:

US Rosterannounced for Netherlands and Germany friendlies. Possible preview of Gold Cup

GK - Guzan, Rimando, Yarbrough
DF - Alvarado, Brooks, Chandler, Evans, Orozco, Shea, Yedlin
MF: Beckerman, Bradley, Diskerud, Ibarra, Johnson, Jones, Morales, Williams.
FW: Agudelo, Johannsson, Wood, Zardes

Obviously Jozy being out now will be the one likely change, but Wood, Agudelo and Ibarra get to go in his stead and prove their worth. I'm guessing Ibarra will be odd man out with Zardes being a forward/wide mid as Klinsmann has been inclined to do. Shocked Beckerman is involved, though this may be his sendoff if you would. He was a Klinsmann fixture.

NYCFC to sign Pirlo according to rumors.. Doesn't really make sense. ALready have a DP in Lampart, and a good central mid in DIskerud. Why add another central mid? I'm guessing this is a clue, of a 4-2-3-1 formation. Using Lampard behind striker (Villa) having Pirlo and Diskerud play deeper. but it seems silly to go that route when they have defensive issues, winger issues, etc. Then you add now on any free kick you'll have 2 guys used to being the guy standing over them.Seems like desperation. Keep bringing in big European names to keep butts in the seats while the onfield results have been terrible. Orlando city is also apparently going after POdolski, that's a move that makes sense.

BTW betters have almost pushed odds to being even on Qatar losing the World CUp. US would almost certainly get the hosting gig. With only 7 years to go it would fall to a non-European or CONMEBOL country with the infrastructure to host the WC. Which is basically the US, Mexico, and maybe Japan or South Korea? AFC doesn't have a stable of hosting countries. CAF doesn't have a stable either. When CONCACAF or UEFA is in play they're the likely favorites to take it because they're the countries with the money and venues.
