Culberson is likely being saved as a defensive replacement for Riley in LF.

Having a 4 man bench is rough when 1 guy is the backup catcher so can't be used, and 1 guy is Riley's defensive caddy so can't be used.

Snit's 2 PH options are Joyce and Camargo...

Cmamargo has more PAs than Joyce, MAC, Flowes and Culberson. All of those hitters are performing just fine in a part time role.

This narrative that Camargo is hitting poorly due to lack of playing time is simply false. Chances are much more likely the predictive stats I’ve shown many times were right and he isn’t a very good hitter, and he’s currently getting unlucky rather than as lucky as he was in the past.

Yeah it crossed my mind that Hurdle played Snit there knowing he’d burn Joyce when Liriano came in.

Snit should know the platoon numbers for the Pirates BP guys, so that’s a little disappointing.
