No thanks on Lynn… he’s fat, lazy, and not a good pitcher at all anymore. I’d rather throw Shuster than Lance freaking Lynn

Gio would be a rental so they can’t expect too much for him

This is a hell of a position to be in. We really don’t have extra pieces - we have a pile of - by all accounts - big time arms down low - but we can’t afford to part with any of them.

Wonder if Fried hurt his arm on that throw to 1b. If it does end up being TJ then we dodged a huge bullet on no extension. Good thing is there is a really good SP crop this offseason. The White Sox would be on speed dial if I was AA. Giolito would be an excellent get. I know most teams aren’t trading right now but Grissom is our main trade chip and doesn’t really have a place here. If he can get us the SP we need then I’d do it.

Playing 2B he is more valuable. Still young with 5 years of control and 3 option years left. There might be some value when swapping a rental pitcher. I don’t know if the Sox’s need a 2nd baseman though.

He should. 5 years of control vs 5 months. They should eat money in the deal also. Unless Grissom is gonna play LF there isn’t a spot here for him. 2b is where he needs to be imo and that’s not happening here. Grissom is still a really valuable trade piece.

White Sox are 9.5 GB of the WC and 7.5 in the division. They should no doubt be sellers.

Giolito is the obvious trade candidate being he is a FA. At this point it’s be a pretty fair overpay this early in the season IMO. My guess is we keep what we have in house until the deadline
