GDT: 05/07 O's @ Braves: Return of Ar-See-Ya

It is not about Malloy being a super star for the team.. just having a guy OPS'ing in AAA is a nice trade chip to have. Wasting that in the offseason for a middle relief guy with one year of control is head scratching.

I'm sure AA wishes JJ was performing better. But Malloy is just a guy. He could shock the world as some prospects do but he's not highly rated at all.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm even remotely worried nor do I care about Malloy overperforming in AAA.

Riley can play some first base, but it would be nice to have someone with extensive 1B experience who could back up Olson (preferably a RHH). Not a big deal in the whole scheme of things, but our 1B situation below the major league level is atrocious. The problem with short benches is that having what I have described is really a luxury.

I have yet to figure out why the Braves haven't gotten Ozuna to learn the position
 
Kinda worrisome we haven’t heard anything about Fried yet. He didn’t seem hurt after his last start.
 
Well, Soroka’s time ……
I swear man, as soon as we get healthy two pitchers go down. And most likely for long term.
This sucks - especially for Max- he was about to cash some huge money. It sucks for Kyle too.

Hopefully it’s just lower forearm and not upper which means UCL which means Dr. Andrews.

I’ve been joking about AJSS - but he may end up on a bullet train up here.
 
We just lost Wright and now Fried. We’ll know more in the next 2 weeks but with how Snit was being hush hush and now we find out it’s a forearm is pretty scary. It may be time to start to panic a little. The rotation is getting beat up

Riley gonna have to step up... we gonna need to score some runs
 
Thing is- we have enough offense and #3 starters to win the East. Especially given that we have the only record in an otherwise trash division. But to win in October, we need TOR pitching. I was loving the idea of Fried and Strider and Kyle and Soroka hopefully.

Now it’s Strider and hold on to your ass…..
 
And we don’t really have the expendable pieces to go get an Ace rental at the deadline to deploy in October either.
