GDT 10/12/23: Braves @ Phillies - NLDS Game 4 Striders Revenge

Our offensive struggles have been systemic, not isolated to one player. You have to look at what could cause systemic struggles. It's not hard to guess what it is.

Olson and Acuna can do no wrong here. If they hit a fly ball, ahhhhhhhh.... he just missed it. Hit a ground ball, abhhhhhhh... that was crushed. This is all arcia's fault!!!$

I think you can take a deep breath now. It's over. See what we can do to get better in the offseason.

Yeah, and Harper has had plenty of playoff series where he has sucked and his team has lost. In fact, it was basically his entire playoff career before last year.

It is baseball. There is no such thing as just making it happen. Acuna is the best player in the game. It was extremely unlikely he was going to have a series like this, and unfortunately for us it came at the worst possible time. But acting like he doesn’t care or isn’t out there focused or giving it everything he has? Or just doesn’t have it when it counts? Stupid.

Reason why at my age 47, I can’t deal with playoff baseball anymore. It’s way too random. Way too many upsets, especially in 5 game series. It makes the regular season almost pointless. I mean the Dodgers losing to the Diamondbacks and Braves losing to the Phillies, wtf. The ratings for the NLCS will be horrible

This is a team-wide failure. No one is above blame, save maybe Riley. But there’s a difference between ‘He didn’t get it done, bad series, he deserves blame’ and ‘He can’t cut it when it’s time to perform, he’s a regular season guy and wilts under the pressure, he doesn’t have the cajones for this,’ and whatever other crap people are throwing out there.
