GDT 10/17/21: Braves vs Dodgers - NLCS Game 2

Feels like a trap game tomorrow. Morton our ace going and being up 2-0 with FF being typical playoff FF. Seems like the laws of averages will say he is due to have a good game, but laws don't work in Atlanta sports history.

I am pretty stoked we are flying up 2-0 though. At least one more game of baseball revenue.

Relax, no one is more pessimistic than me, and I think we got em

Game 2 may be the biggest difference between the Braves-Dodgers 2020 and 2021 series'. Last season, LA picked up a ton of momentum with seven runs in the last three innings. This season, Atlanta walked off. The outcomes are clearly TBD but that's a huge swing.

Also, the NLCS last year came with no days off. They played 7 games in 7 days

I read this thread after the fact and what a roller coaster of emotions that was... Much like the game I guess...

BUT, this by far was my favorite post of the night. Well done.

Yeah, we went Max-Ian-Wright-Wilson-BP-Max-Ian last year, we'll probably go Max-Ian-Charlie-BP-Max-Ian-Charlie this year it it goes the distance. In better shape pitching wise by a ****ing mile, still a long way to go though. Roberts using Urias will be interesting to see how long he can go, since he's scheduled to go Game 4.

last year that killed us. Our pitching was in shambles. That said, this year, 7 games in 7 days would probably help us more. The Dodgers are really struggling with pitching injuries this year.

Not sure either side would make it through this series unscaved if there was no days off. Buehler went on short rest, Max said he has a dead arm, Urias has been used in/out of the SP/pen, their BP has been used a ton already. We're overworking Matzek, Jackson and Smith out of ours. Both sides can use this day off for sure.

It would be so sweet of the baseball gods if soler could return for the urias start. I'm fine with him missing game 3. Don't want snit benching joc

It would and we would probably be playing the pen a bit differently if there were no days off. Just saying last year, the Dodgers were in much better shape to do 7 game in 7 nights.

Think i saw best case is Game 5 or 6 for Soler.

was it on this site I saw the guy quoting Joc... he said the Dodger$ are a great team and well run org, but right now they are just a team in our way.

He is an intangible that is not only producing with his bat, but his words too. can he play first base??

In retrospect, 7 games in 7 nights all seems extremely reckless for a playoff series.

He can, you and i both know Freeman isnt getting benched. You just gotta hope he gets a huge hit in a big situation. Starting 0-8 with 7 K's is unreal.

I think he said that during post game interview with Shehadi.
