Even if LA wins the series, this is back to back years we have gone head to head with the best team in the league and made a series out of it.

Agreed, but also, losing a three-run lead in the bottom of the eighth inning is inexcusable.
 
I think the people like sheffield10, solid, and Virginia who have constantly bashed analytics and defended Snitker here realize we stole the first two games and we may have woken the Dodgers up.

they’re usually the crew to let us know how awesome Snit is.
 
We’ll find out a whole lot the next two days about how much this team has grown up and learned through the battles of the last couple years.

If we had just held on to win this damn game tonight, we could have used Smyly and Ynoa 3 innings apiece tomorrow and more or less sacrificed the game to get guys a day of rest.
 
Brutal in the moment. More broadly playing devils advocate:

-A one run game where we basically have no opportunities, they strand runners all over, we get an infield single in the 9th and win it
-A game where we fall behind by two twice, get out of several jams, come back in bottom of the 8th and win it after a lead-off bloop on a broken bat

Look, the Dodgers were 18 games better than we were over 162. We are damn lucky we didn't get swept in four. I fully expect we have won our last game of the year.
