GDT 10/8 NLDS Game 3: Get the brooms ready

Super impressed with Wright for turning his season around. This is huge if he can stabilize as a backend guy the next few years.

Wright is dealing, but Dodgers are probably the test if he's turning a corner or not.

Great job Kyle

lol what even is this

Wright was yuge today. Winning in the postseason is a strange feeling—feel like I'm back in middle school, except I'm drinking much lower abv beers today.

So who had Wright and Anderson pitching three games in the playoffs so far, going at least six innings and giving up zero runs in those three games?

Did you miss the part about the back injury last year?

Ender doesn’t have a strong side...he only bats LH.

He’s probably a bench OFer now, just like Duvall. That’s what I suggested he would be back when the contract was signed.

All right, yes. Let me rephrase. Inciarte has decided platoon splits and his stronger split is vs RHP. He's now well below average vs RHP and has been for awhile.

I know you have decided that 2019 was injury induced, but he has been trash in 2020 as well. And injuries are certainly part of aging risk.

He's toast, he's been so bad he's not on a postseason roster. They took an inexperienced rookie who they don't trust to give regular season at bats instead and also Charlie Culberson, because Ender isn't even valuable as a pinch runner or defensive replacement.

I suggested that when Ender signed his contract that extending mediocre players who depend on their defense to be valuable into their 30s was probably an unnecessary move.

the braves would dearly love to have that 8 or 9 million off their books and it was hardly difficult to see that might be the case.

I don't disagree, but at least it's $8M and not $60M or $100M. AA has done a great job of limiting the dead money.

lineup is a push imo

the Dodgers advantage is in the backend of their rotation. and in a series with no days off that is pretty substantial.

I'd take Dodgers lineup over ours but it's not a massive massive gap.

Bullpen i'd say Braves advantage but not massive there. Dodgers advantage in rotation. If we had Soroka, i think we could take them down, smh, damn shame.

I woulda been happy with 3 runs in 4 innings - dude hasn’t pitched in a couple of weeks. 0 in 6 is amazing. Gotta be a great feeling for him

Well... Kyle Wright was OK for the first few innings, but once we busted the game open the Marlins were too impatient to let him pitch himself into a mess.

It's progress. I'm envisioning 4 walks against the super patient Dodgers.
