GDT: 4/12 Marlins @ Braves

when Ynoa needed to be added to the 40-man or put in the Rule 5, i thought it seemed silly to keep him and thought for sure he'd be a Rule 5 guy (and thought no one would even take him).

oof, was i wrong on that. i also remember 50 basically calling me an idiot for thinking that, in his nice way.
he's at the very least very useful (Ynoa, not 50).

like everyone else you underrate 50

Pop quiz: your spot starting BP arm is sitting at 70 pitches, has faced the order twice, and is about to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning in a 1 run game.

What is the correct move?

Since he's going to have to go through the lineup a third time, you should pinch hit your fattest bench player and get into your ten man bullpen.

What do I win?

Snit could have PH with Adrianza in the 5th, Panda in a later higher leverage inning, and still had Pache as a defensive replacement for Ozuna later.

Instead, he punted a PA in a close game in order to get Ynoa into the 6th. We will see how it works out.

Ynoa mowed them down, giving the Braves an inning in exchange for that PA. He may as well go out for the 7th as well.

That extra start or two close to the deadline by Jamie Garcia got us Ynoa!

Good memories.
