By "won the peace" I mean they were able to reinstitute slavery using a loophole in the 13th amendment and not only did they do it to their states they were able to influence the whole country through national voting. It's insane to give rebels equal voting rights after they lose. I think we far more closely resemble what the Confederate States of America would look had they won than people realize. We made a big mistake accepting them back into the union with equal standing.

Even the two poorest states in the country- Mississippi and West Virginia (arguably the South)- have higher gross household income (PPP) than other rich nations like Canada, New Zealand, and the Netherlands. Clearly they have some idea of what they're doing on the econ side.

You are a very smart baseball guy, but you prove your economic knowledge is grossly inadequate when you denigrate an entire swath of the richest country on Earth.

I dropped sweet tea 3 months ago and I've lost almost 50 lbs. The only other thing I did was limit my carbs to 30g per day. Never going back to that ****. Its almost impossible to stay healthy while drinking it.

It is really, really good though.

The heat has been brutal the last week in Savannah.

But it's been great for my running and tennis outdoors. Burning off a bunch of weight.
