Yeah yeah... I understand the results have changed, but typically when a guy has this drastic change you read stories about swing changes, stance, guy gets in shape, etc. All we have with Nick is a new fro lolIt's a combination of two things. Neck is striking out only 8% of the time compared to the mid to low teens in previous years. Obviously putting more balls in play will help his numbers. And either by luck or design his launch angle has increased and instead of line drives for singles you are seeing doubles and homers.
Despite the error, Acuna has been good in LF overall with us. He has looked bad at times doing so. But his range is fine and he came in with 1 DRS in left. Nothing special as far as saving runs. But he isn't costing us on defense at all.
He’s in this pitcher’s head. He won’t take his eye off Ender.Ender is thinking about taking third, he doesn't think that catcher can throw him out.
I remember Acuna scaring the bejeezus out of me when he got turned around on the last out of a one run game in New York.
Simmons gets that.
Of course he does, he gets a ton that no one else has a shot. But even Culberson makes that play IMO.
