GDT 6/12/23: Braves @ Tigers - Mort on the mound

Not only was not subbing out Rosario defensively inexcusable, but also leaving Iglesias in when he was getting laced around and then allowed the tying run to reach base before recording an out and being over 20 pitches. Not only was it clear that he didn’t have it at that point and was probably going to blow it, but you also have to think about saving him for the rest of the series.

It's the stupid **** Snit believes. "Rosario is a veteran and deserves to be in there all 9 innings" kind of thought.

One of the worst managed baseball games in recent memory. WTF was Rosario in the game for on D in the bottom of the 9th. Snit can’t take his closer out no matter how poorly he’s performing. Just more dumb **** from a terrible game manager .

This one is on the hitters going 1 for 11 with RISP and our closer man…It was bullpen game for the Tigers…we should have put up 10 runs just by showing up.

This team would be running away from the division if it could simply beat horrible American League teams. Baseball is dumb like that sometimes.

This kind of **** happens over and over again in baseball. You pussyfoot around when you have a chance to put it away, you invite a disaster like that.

That’s on Rosario anyways. His baseball IQ is brutal

Ever since they obtained him, I've been harping, harping, and harping on the fact that Rosario is not a very good baseball player. I watched him for years up here in Minnesota and he'll get a big hit every now and then or make a flashy play in the field or on the basepaths that will momentarily fool the viewing public, but he inevitably reverts to form. He's got the swag that makes some think he's better than he is and there's no doubt that Rosario thinks he's a better player than he is. Half the high schoolers playing baseball in the state of Georgia have higher baseball IQs than Rosario.

Is Iglesias just lousy in "colder" weather games?

His 3 worst outings this year:
at Toronto: 59 degrees
at Oakland: 59 degrees
at Detroit: 60 degrees

Iglesias shouldn't have been in the game once he allowed the tying run to reach base before getting an out, on top of already giving up two runs. He also was over 20 pitches, and ended up throwing about 30, so he's at least unavailable for tomorrow if not the rest of the series. And if Rosario wasn’t in the field, I wouldn’t even have to be harping on this as much.

Dude lacks the most basic tactical skills. There has to be someone with a lick of common sense that also can run a clubhouse out there. I can’t take this **** no more.
