GDT 6/14/22: Braves @ Gnats - Win it for Ozzie

Milwaukee looks like they are going to lose again.

They feel like a team similar to what the Braves were like in 2014. Great young core with bad contracts that severely limit how they add to their roster. The farm system doesn’t look like it’s going to help either.

I would be shocked if they blew it up at the deadline, but they have a really interesting winter coming up ahead.

I don’t think there is another player in our lineup that hits the **** out of the ball right at the defender more than Olson

I thought about him a minute ago. I’d try my best to put Ozuna in there to get rid of his contract if at all possible. They’d only have him for 2 years and would save 10 million a year. Anderson, Ozuna, Waters?

Yelich is such an awful contact. They would have to give us assets and take back the Ozuna contract.

He’s under contract for 26m/year thru 2028. He’s probably negative 60-80m surplus value.

Yelich + Woodruff for Ozuna and Waters

Us needing another OF and there not being one available besides Judge in the offseason and us not having the pieces to trade I could see a Yelich deal. If we got rid of Ozuna that would be amazing.

Ozuna’s contract is way better than Yelich’s. What are you talking about?
 
It's going to be interesting to see the numbers before and after Harris' batting stance change. The change was very similar to Acuna's.

If we did go after Yelich meaning Ozuna would have to be involved. Yelich’s numbers have been down quite a bit the past 2 years after looking. Didn’t realize he had been down that much.
