GDT 7/24/21: Braves @ Phillies - SJ24 to the bench

That's fine. But sports evolve and the the most successful teams in baseball right now think differently about how to use their pitching. There is a reason for that.

Maybe, but I can still argue the other way. Especially when the Braves are failing the class in 2021.

Are they? Snitker has tried to do what you like and extend the starters a 3rd time through and there was a 2 week period where it failed literally every game.

It is all he can do with a steaming pile that is the pen. There is not a single arm that can be counted on more than once a week. Put the weight on the starters, Give the best shot to win.

That's the thing. Every available piece of data suggests that letting the starter see the lineup a third time isn't the best shot to win.

That "steaming pile that is the pen" is EXACTLY the same group of guys that were "world-beaters" in 2020 minus Melancon.

Seriously dude, give up.

Nevermind - he's just trolling now - time to let it go.

Not trolling just bringing the truth. That's always been the problem with this fanbase. Slap a Braves logo on it and it is all good. And yes the bullpen is a steaming pile.
