gdt 8/18 doggers

This isn't the first time Ron has watched a long single that should've been a double.

Snit allowed this to go on too long because he is too much of a player's manager. Too afraid to bench Freddie. Too afraid to bench Neck.

Maybe it's happened but I've never seen Freddie or Neck do that.

EDIT: I've also never seen Albies fail to hustle, ether. Snit did what needed to be done and, as others have said, he probably should've done it earlier. Better late than never.

I can't believe Snit pulled Acuna especially with a bench that's not deep especially in the outfield. Acuna screwed up. He brings a lot more to the table than hussle. Of course the old men in the booth can talk a bunch about the little things while they talk about players like Markakis who play the game the "right way". I have news for them. Big things matter too and I a big way. You take Acuna out of an already weakened lineup and it kind of stinks. As to the other 24 guys. I wouldn't pull Freddie, Donaldson, or Ozzie either. The others should be grateful we have a guy like Acuna in the lineup, and I'm sure Ronald feels as bad as anyone. He screwed up. It happens.

Ronald hit a ball that was 4 inches outside for a long single off the right field wall.

He didn't run out the box so could've been a double.

He then tried to steal but it was a pitchout so he got caught stealing.

He hit a double that he admired into a long single, then got caught stealing. That wasted Fried's leadoff double with 0 runs scoring. Completely changed the complexion of a promising inning.

Fried’s been better than Keuchel.

Keuchel has the 1 bad start that skews his ERA in such s short amount of starts. Take that away and they've been essentially the same. And then you factor in that Keuchel is a veteran with a bunch of post season experience.
