The odds of that ball being off the wall were slim. It was a moon shot. It was coming almost straight down. It's one you would assume would be gone or caught.

Keuchel had been pretty lucky up to that point. He's had ****ty peripherals and a bad xWOBA all season. Fried has been quite a bit better.
 
So many other ways to discipline Acuna.

Just upset we are conceding this game.

I know it's not over yet but taking arguably your best player out in an already hamstrung lineup does not bode well.

Sucks, but so does arguably your best player giving a crap effort. Hopefully this puts an end to that

Kuechel has been extremely unlucky on HR/FB. His other peripherals are otherwise in line with his career averages.
 
So many wise baseball minds....

If the penalty for not running out a ball is being benched, then the penalty needs to be applied consistently regardless of the player’s name or any other circumstance.

This is Acuna’s fault, and nobody else’s. Stop crying and trying to justify his actions.

Is it unlucky or making ****ty pitches in this new environment? A 341 xWOBA is not even close to being good.
