gdt 8/18 doggers

If Atlanta does indeed lose this game, it’s not because the Braves aren’t a good enough team. They’ve had chances.

I know a lot of people don't like pulling Ronald, but you have to do it. I just saw the replay for the first time, and that was horrible on his part. I don't care how talented you are, that can't happen.

You can chew a kid's butt and fine him and get the same effect without dooming your team to play with a second baseman in center for 5 innings, and on a day when you already only had a two-man bench. This is just dumb.

It's such a dumb time to do this.

This isn't the first time Ronald hasn't hustled out of the box. Snit should have done this long long ago.

Ron is gonna walk out of the box again at some point. Bench him then.

Well, if you let it happen just because it’s against the Dodgers, that sends the wrong message.

There are 24 other guys on the roster that need to be shown that team rules apply equally to everyone. If it goes unaddressed, the behavior will just get worse and we'll lose more winnable games than just this one.

No doubt in my mind that sending a strong message to Acuña is exactly what Snitker needs to do.

This isn't the first time Ron has watched a long single that should've been a double.

Snit allowed this to go on too long because he is too much of a player's manager. Too afraid to bench Freddie. Too afraid to bench Neck.

I completely agree. This is no different than what Bobby Cox did when he pulled Andruw Jones in that game years ago when he didn't go hard after that fly ball he should have caught.

This is my point.

It’s nice to see Snit using his position players correctly.

Fried showed elevated levels of testosterone today.

It’s too bad Acuna chose a game against the best team in the NL to let his immaturely surface.

Think the guys in the clubhouse care more about trying to beat the best team in the league more than they do that message.

We're also short on good position players right now as well. No Swanson. No Inciarte. No Neck.

It's just a bad strategic decision. If Ron does the long gaze again next week it'll be a waste.

Completely agree. Team has showed a lot after that first game. Braves aren’t the Dodgers equal but the gap is narrowing some.

I don’t think they should’ve pulled him, but I can’t fault Snit too much.

I can't watch. What happened?

Ronald hit a ball that was 4 inches outside for a long single off the right field wall.

He didn't run out the box so could've been a double.

He then tried to steal but it was a pitchout so he got caught stealing.
