Can't wait for a devastating 4-3 loss in which we lead 3-2 late in the game to bring you guys back to "I don't know if this team has what it takes" mode. Or a 2 game losing streak to the Marlins or Mets in September.

Obviously I'd love to win at least one of the next 2, but I honestly feel like the team has already done what they needed to do in this series. Gnats pretty much needed to sweep us to give them any hope at the division.

Strasburg is a whiner. Not sure he's ever done anything wrong. Gattis' HR was luck and dismissed. This article says the Upton steal was a gamble. He says that we only made weak contact.
Even if it is true, I never see Strasburg say someone got him or deserved it, without some sort of qualifier. That dink stuff beats us from time to time too, and you don't see Braves quotes about how lucky the other team is and how superior we are.
J-UP makes the difference with this team. With him driving the ball again, the Braves are exceptional.

Agreed. Thats what was so infuriating about him in the non-"A" months. He can't just get hot like this and go cold because if he is cold in October then we are in trouble.
Awktober is right around the corner.
Everyone (including me) handed them this division for the next few years so they act like its their birthright.
It's particularly rich in light of Minor's self-appraisal after the game yesterday, in which he bemoaned how terribly he pitched and credited his defense for bailing him out all game, which was definitely a bit of an exaggeration on his part, even if not wholly inaccurate. I know which mindset I find preferable.
I think Minor was absolutely right and it's a credit to him (and the defense) that he was able to keep his team in position to win. He has somewhat of that ability of Glavine to not give in to hitters, yet not walk a ton of guys. Minor was off though, Nats squared up on him a lot (Hairston, Harper, Laroche, Ramos in particular). 8 hits/6 innings; 3 walks and 3 ks. According to BR, the Nats had 7 line drives off Minor. But, that has been a big reason the Braves have been wining so often is there are many games where they simply find a way to win (or do the little thing).
Strasburg was good. He was the better pitcher last night. Still, that stolen base, and the subsequent run, was all on him. I'm kinda entertained by his not stepping up and taking responsibility for it.
Braves have been winning a lot recently because they are smacking the crap out of the ball.
