I think the new additions will be fine long term.
This is the reason you don’t give up high prospects for bullpen arms (and luckily we didn’t)...there are just a handful you can really depend on and no one is trading those.
Boy...this has been maybe worse than the flipping guys we were using. It’s like our bullpen is just cursed.

yup. Two losses that could have easily been so runs. In the end, it’ll all even out. But Atlanta needs to take tonight’s punch and win tomorrow. Wasted opportunities early in the game tells the story.

I missed the days of calling up two bullpen arms from AAA every day
Don't know what our RISP numbers were the last two days but failure to deliver in so many of those opportunities is more to blame for the last two losses than our opponents' fluky luck--if we're being honest with ourselves.

This team doesn't get enough credit for getting good opposing pitchers back on track.
They’ve won a lot of games lately but that’s more a product of their schedule than anything. Pit/CHW/Pit/Mia will help anyone’s record.

We will see what happens. If we win the last two close games, we’re 68-46 and no one is complaining. The Braves will be fine but there’s no doubt guys need to sharpen up or it’ll be a very close race soon enough. Defense and lack of “clutchness” have been our downfall the last two or three weeks.

I still think we are a very tired team. Twit hasn’t rested our big 3 and JD is now not getting any days off. We have 3 guys in the top 15 for at bats. You look at the Dodgers who rest everyone and the highest guy they have is 75 at bats less. It is absurd to me we went through the entire summer months and just kept playing guys everyday. Especially when the talk was to rest guys more.
