GDT 8/6/22 Game 2: Braves @ Mutts - Interesting Choices

Also, Olson has been pretty good this year but to act like he hasn't disappointed is a stretch

It's definitely been a downgrade and during a year where we are trying to win the world series, having this.much of a downgrade is a bummer

Olson individually has been a downgrade. But the Braves as a whole have been a better team than their 2021 counterpart to this point.

Olson gets a pass for what he had to step into this year replacing Freeman. Olson hasn’t been bad but not as good as we all thought. But again I give him a pass.

Dude are u even a Braves fan? All I literally see you do is talk about how ****ty our players are and how we get punked and are scared.

You caught me. I literally lived here for 3 years or so to infiltrate the board to make you guys think I really like the braves. I woulda got away with it too if it wasn't for that pesky Hudson

VaginaBrave sticks around to and all he does is piss and moan to

That's accurate.

In a perfect world, freeman takes the deal we offered. We still have a few assets for a big time upgrade at the deadline.

He didn't. So AA did what he had to do.

But I don't really care about 5 years from now in a year where we are legit WS contenders. Not winning the division could literally be the difference in not winning the WS.

Plus... If this is the Olson we have for the next 8 years... That production is quite solid but certainly irreplaceable

Hopefully he reverts back to 2021 Olson after this first year is done (which almost certainly has a ton of pressure as well as a new league to adjust)

If the Braves are better than the Mets head to head, why are we about to be 4-8 against them after tomorrow?

Bill Parcells used to say, "you are what your record says you are" and I agree with him. After this crapstorm tonight, our record is 4-7 against the Mets.

In reality I have a very unhealthy following of the braves. I've been in Nola all day with a pissed off wife bc I can't quit following a team that has the Mets' foot stuck 3 foot up their ass

Football and baseball are not the same.

The damn pirates swept the dodgers a few weeks back

If I could wave a wand to change one thing in the off-season it’s not Olson vs Freddie. Olson is solid.

I’d likely replace Rosario with joc and we’d be tied or better with the Mets.

Dh, lf and 2b are orders of magnitude more impactful to me than ff vs Olson.

Also recall how many games we punted early bc of Ronald’s knee and a 6 man rotation. It was likely smart for this post season with extra innings on everyone’s arm from ws, messed up spring, and Morton coming off a major injury. But we lost a ton of those elder games. I was an elder fan but he has regressed

Take this game for instance. How good has Dansby been at SS all year? Amazing. He’s made 2 errors and Riley 1. And we know that Alonso was out at home earlier.

I agree with that. But the Braves are on pace for 96 wins currently. AA has built a hell of a team. It's ****ty but sometimes a team just has a better season. LA can thank the Giants for ****ing their playoffs up last year.
