GDT 8/6/24: Braves vs Brewers - Get it together for Elder

I think Snit hangs it up to. Not everybody wants to do this until they are 80. I just hope its not Weiss or one of the other guys in the dugout.

Damn that was an ass beating. Everything has gone to **** since Snit tried to get 5 innings out of Holmes

The fact that seitzer is still here shows we aren't serious anymore. He's oversaw the biggest offensive collapse we've ever saw. Ownership needs to step in and just clear house. Hell, change the name of the stadium down to can that landscape guy that tv and radio worship. Everyone get the F lost

This team is truly baffling.

I’m not sure this is more fun to watch than a bad team we know will miss the playoffs.

It’s like you can tell 7 minutes into the game if everyone is sleep walking and you can safely skip the game to mow the lawn.

I don't get it, man. I love to troll and mess around with you guys, but I honestly have disliked watching them this season. No fight, no passion, no nothing. Sleepwalking is a perfect way to explain it.

Too many long term deals imo.

I know this game is hard.

But we have made it harder with our basic fundamentals. Not moving runners over, not getting the bat on sacrifices, missed cutoffs etc are all a REAL problem.

I’m afraid losing wash and ey are much bigger losses than we accounted for….

If that's true, then it shows you have the wrong guy at the top. Saban and smart can lose assistants left and right, but they keep rolling. Guys like Ed O lose his big assistants, and he was instant trash. Yeah, I'm ready for CFB... this braves team makes me sick to my stomach

I mean your analogy isn't that far fetched. real leaders have a system in place that other follows.. leaches like twit just follow whoever so he doesn't have to make any decisions and thus can hide in the shadows and stick around for 40 years not really accomplishing anything. This team should have a process for success and it should start with personal goals in the off season (like not letting your franchise player play all year around) and then directives and culture/processes as soon as you report.

I think the long-term deals will be an issue, but I'm not concerned about the current roster. Folks are just underperforming. It if happens again next season, then yes... obviously. I think it's probably a mix of player and team leadership.

I think the thought on the long term deals is it made players lazy.. Harris is an example.. he seemed overweight and he possibly was. His sprint speeds down almost a full MPH at his age is weird imo and suggests he might have come in not ready..

I don't think Olson/Riley/Murphy fall into lazy category. I think those are approach flaws and swing flaws that will either be adjusted by a coach who isn't 400 pounds and probably can't swing a bat anymore or will derail their careers and drag this team down. to be determined I guess.

looks like Dodd has been recalled. aren't we all glad we get to watch all these quad A guys still get key innings post deadline??
