GDT Sun 7/29, Dodgers

What’s more ridiculous is that guys don’t go back ando delete offensive things now that folks are trying to dig up anything they can to get a scoop.

No that isn't more ridiculous unless you accept this Orwellian 1984 thought police crap.

Sturg, you do realize that the folks you support are the ones who have weaponized Twitter like this. In this instance, it appears to have been a Nats fan that went digging into Sean's Twitter history.

I hope this is a learning moment for Sean (and others). I liked that he has immediately owned up to the tweets and apologized. I'll trust that he's grown up and "evolved" on the issue over the past 7 years. My opinion is that he was a douchy high schooler, but appears to be more mature now in life. I had a bigger issue with Hader's straight up "I hate gay people" tweet, regardless of the age that he posted it. Those are strong dangerous words and a mindset that I don't find changes so easily with only a little age. And I took issue with Brewers fans being so quick to give him a standing ovation. I'd like to see more evidence that he doesn't "hate gay people" any longer.

Lol and now they got Trea Turner!

The PC mob is great for society!!

This isn't the PC mob. This is a bunch of salty losers who have to bring others down to their pathetic level. I am sure that Trea is a casualty of a Braves fan pissed off about what happened to Sean and so the cycle continues.

Don’t have hateful, garbage opinions; and, if you absolutely have to have them, don’t promulgate them.

It’s really that simple.

But I agree we should allow people to apologise and evolve from hateful garbage. All the better, in fact, if they improve.

I'm going to go ahead and let you guys know that when I was playing baseball as a 10 year old I called another player "fatso." I apologize to all who are caused any pain by this, whether they be fat or not.

I also began judging women primarily by their looks as soon as I hit puberty.

Please don't judge me too harshly.

The problem here is not that he had a hateful opinion. The problem is that he had a hateful opinion about slivers of the population that the PC police have deemed off limits. He would have never been taken to task if he had been calling people rednecks or making fun of Southerners for not having any teeth.
