I'm glad we have a 'President' who can't take questions or address the American people for longer than 15 minutes.

What a disaster and one party is responsible for this.

One easy mistake made here was to use Kabul instead of Bagram as the final evacuation site. Bagram has a much smaller security problem than Kabul. It's another indication of a lack of planning.

Planning and execution has been atrocious.

My criticism has to do with the policy itself. But I think those of you who agree with the policy are right to criticize the planning and execution. It has been shambolic.

So easily avoided.

Everyone knew this was the third term of Obama and we all saw what hte first two terms did to the international order.
 
I hope the Taliban keeps it in check but I'm worried about the situation there deteriorating with thousands of American citizens still in the city. There are a lot of ways this situation can go sideways.

Having the Taliban that close to a few thousand US troops reminds me of a line from The Hunt for Red October. The National Security Advisor is meeting with the Russian ambassador ans says "It would be well for your government to consider that having your ships and ours, your aircraft and ours, in such proximity... is inherently DANGEROUS. Wars have begun that way, Mr. Ambassador."

All it will take is one misunderstanding, one hot head on either side who has lost friends in the war, one criminal being mistaken as a Taliban fighter and things can deteriorate.
 
Biden today said there was no better way to handle to withdrawal and that no mistakes were made. That's very, very disappointing. I guess Biden is going back on his promise to shoot straight with us.
 
Btw-
Biden’s people need to tell him to check the attitude. He’s the most senile person in the room 99 days out of 100 so check it.
