Global Events & Politics Überthread

Ya know, I didn’t think to ask. It was fun, though. I was in pajamas and a hoody, unshowered and freshly thrown up, loaning and writing in pain. So basically I was that guy in the ER waiting room people got up and walked away from. Feels like a special accomplishment in Las Vegas.

i would have guessed you would have blended in nicely

But the poor Ukrainians are fighting to stop this!!!

Zelensky over time will go the same way as Cuomo and Avenatti.

What age group are you? We are going this summer. Looking forward to some pool time.

I’m 40… wife is 32… was our first legit vacation without kids since we had them (so almost 9 years). We had a blast… but we also did a ton of nature/hiking/road tripping into the desert sort of stuff.

I was actually in Vegas last month for a work conference. Ended up with a kidney stone the first night and learned that the hospitals there are not a fun place to go.

The most pain I’ve ever had in my life was a little kidney stone. Amazing that something so small can put a full grown adult down for the count.

My grandma had them and said the pain was worse than childbirth, and she had four kids.

That said, I wouldn’t recommend sharing that anecdote during an argument with any wives/gf’s lol

One of my coworkers and I were talking and I just casually mentioned how I heard that Kidney Stones can be more painful than Child Birth and she was like "Nah, that's insane, yada yada yada" a week later she went to the ER in seering pain from a Kidney stone and she said the worst part was having to see me later and tell me that what I hear was right.

Yep, it’s absolutely awful. I learned today though that even that pain can be beat by bladder spasms. Just spent my 4th night in a month in an ER after my kidney stone surgery this morning blessed me with these spasms. I genuinely wondered if I was dying at one point when I was in screaming pain after getting IV morphine twice.

So odd.....

Its almost as if the media completely shifts their narrative when it suits them and the seals just clap along without questioning a thing.

Shocker - But Zelensky is under strict orders to do whatever it takes to convince the free world to join the war.
