I don't see why its so startling that many Russians think the invasion is justified.

Lots of Americans still think the invasion of Iraq was justified.

If you were the leader of a sovereign nation being invaded by a ruthless authoritarian nation, I don’t think you’d need to be under orders to ask for help. You’d be asking for help because you want to save your people.

I still am fully on board with having Ukraine fight its own war, but it’s hardly absurd for Ukraine to feel differently.

Ain’t no propaganda like war propaganda, particularly with the state having such a stranglehold on what information the citizens have access to.

Sure. The military industrial complex will always, always find a way to try to drag us into any conflict. It doesn’t give Russia any justification for its actions.

Who was the aggressor when Russian separatists were being massacred in the Donbas region?
 
Vlad the Bad should cut his losses and stop sending Russian boys to be slaughtered. And he should certainly stop the criminal and barbaric bombing of civilians.

Both the separatists and Ukraine. We’ve seen countless similar situations around the globe when it came to essentially a civil war and much like this one, both sides often bear some moral responsibility. I’m not carrying water for Ukraine in general. I think they are clearly the aggrieved party in the current conflict, but I’m not going to pretend Ukraine is some outstanding, unimpeachable nation.

Russia invading the entire nation and targeting/killing civilians in Ukraine over a dispute between Ukraine and separatists is clearly not an acceptable response.
 
Imo they should treat the Russian soldiers through regular criminal charges. Charge the captured soldiers with thousands of cases of murder, armored murder, and conspiracy to commit murder. If they can find out any and al people who were a part of invading Uktaine and put out international warrants for them so they can be arrested and brought to justice. It's time we stop justifying murderers because they are part of an official army. I personally would never agree to not commit war crimes against an invading army. If I was Zelensky I would have them cutting the balls off these POWs and feeding it to them. Dont want that? Dont cross the ****ing border and try to murder people.
